Space Chalk

Last night Emma and Rhonda come in from grocery shopping and I immediately proclaimed in horror... "WHAT IS THAT SMELL!?!". To which Rhonda says, "I don't know? I think it's from the van!"

As Emma comes closer to me I realize that she is the one that stinks!

She had been playing outside with her friends earlier that evening so I asked her what they had gotten in to? She says "Nothing!"

Then I see her playing with something in her pocket.

Jon: "Emma, what's in your pocket?"

Rhonda: "Oh, that's her 'space chalk'!"

Jon: "Her what?!?"

Rhonda: "See calls it her space chalk. They found it outside in the rocks."

Jon: "Emma, show me what's in your hand!.....THAT ISN'T SPACE CHALK! THOSE ARE MOTH BALLS!!!!"

Yes, my child had been convinced by her friend Elliot that these round white balls were pieces of chalk from outer space and that she should keep them!

Needless to say, the "space chalk" was quickly discarded of and Rhonda finally found the answer to her question "where is that smell coming from and why does it keep following us wherever we go?"
