The word is actually Hell. Sorry couldn't think of a different "catchy" title.
(I feel like I'm apologizing really only to my mom) Wait a second, didn't I just turn 35?
So I heard a message on Hell. And it was very interesting and made me want to research exactly what the bible says about it.
So here's what I have so far....
It's outer darkness
Sodom and Gomorrah wasn't as bad as it
Your soul and body will be destroyed
It's in the heart of the earth
You'll be thrown into a fiery furnace
Hell has gates
It's eternal fire
There is no escape, you are "sentenced" to hell
You are put into, cast into, thrown into it
It's eternal punishment
You are a cursed person
You are told to depart from God
I was talking to a young girl this past week about Hell and she said she thought if you went to Hell you'd get burned and then die. And then it would be like sleep forever. I don't think that's it. But it's hard to believe there is a different reality really awaiting those who do not receive Jesus as the one to pay the price for sin.
