Rhonda and I were talking this weekend about my last post entitled "Healing". Asking ourselves the question "Did God create us with the ability to fight off disease?".
There was no sickness in the garden, no disease, no strife - so our conclusion was that there probably wasn't anything originally built into our bodies for the purpose of fighting off disease. As we talked a bit more, there was this sudden connection in my mind... that's AIDS!
Not having the ability to fight off an infection - something our bodies probably weren't created to do originally - is manifested in the disease we know as auto-immune disorder. What a horrible way to live! Can you imagine the entire human race being permanently afflicted with this inability?
God is truly gracious and compassionate!
